"The tutorials made me lose trust"
I tried going through a few Astute Graphics tutorials, but i ended up more confused than when I started. They move way too fast and skip over little steps that actually matter. Maybe they’re okay if you already know what you’re doing, but for someone like me, it was just frustrating. After that, I kind of lost trust that their tutorials are actually meant to help regular users.

"Felt like a bait and switch"
I thought this was going to make things easier and save me time, but it ended up being the opposite. The way it’s presented makes it seem simple and helpful, but once I actually tried using it, I spent more time figuring everything out than I would have if I’d just done the work myself. Definitely had a bit of a bait-and-switch feeling

"The tools themselves might be solid..."
The tools themselves might be solid, but the documentation was really hard to follow. I kept jumping from one page to another and still couldn’t find clear steps. At some point, you start feeling like it assumes you already know everything, which gets frustrating fast.

"Went on without much fuss"
Install was easy. Got it set up and didn’t run into anything major.
"I gave astutegraphics a shot because I was..."
I gave astutegraphics a shot because I was hoping it would help me get cleaner results faster, but it just didn’t really work out that way for me. To be fair, I was in the middle of a rushed project, so the timing probably didn’t help.
A few of the tools seemed promising at first, and I could see why people might like them, but my final artwork still needed a lot of cleanup. The lines and shapes weren’t as sharp as I expected, and instead of saving time, I felt like I was fixing things after the fact.
Maybe if I had tried it during a slower week, I would’ve been more patient with it or figured out a better workflow. But based on the results I got, I don’t think I’d pay for it again.

"Support took longer than expected"
I do actually like some of the plugins, but for some reason the tech support was really slow in my case. I ran into an issue after an update and ended up waiting a few days, mostly getting basic replies that didn’t help much.
When they finally got back to me properly, it kind of felt like they hadn’t really read what I wrote. The problem did get fixed in the end, but it was more of a hassle than it needed to be.
"Works well with Illustrator"
Yeah, it runs smoothly with Illustrator. I didn’t have any issues getting it going, and it does what I need without much fuss.

"Handy plugins, even if I’m torn on adding more tools"
I’ve always been loyal to the standard Illustrator workflow, so I was a little hesitant to bring in extra plugins. But these have been really useful for cutting down on the boring repetitive stuff. It took me a bit to figure out where everything lived and get comfortable with it, but once I had it set up, it definitely saved me time. I still catch myself wanting to do things the old Adobe way sometimes, but overall these tools have earned a spot in my workflow. Not perfect, but solid

"Keeps crashing for me"
Not sure if it’s just my setup or something, but it keeps crashing a lot when I’m using Illustrator. Frustrating when I’m in the middle of working on things.

"Not enough variety for what I needed"
I was really hoping this would have a wider mix of creative tools, but it ended up feeling way too focused on similar Illustrator add-ons!! A few things were definitely useful, but for the price, I expected a lot more variety. If you’re specifically looking for vector tools, it might be fine, but for my workflow it was disappointing.

"These precision tools drove me a little nuts?!"
I was really hoping the precision tools would make things easier, but the vector edits kept snapping to the wrong spots?! I ended up spending my whole afternoon fighting with it instead of actually getting work done.

"Works okay, but why is it kinda slow??"
The site is mostly fine and does what it’s supposed to, but sometimes the pages take a weirdly long time to load for me?? It’s not awful or anything, just a little annoying when I’m trying to find something quickly. Overall it’s decent, but I really wish it felt a bit faster.

"I’m not sure if it’s just me or..."
I’m not sure if it’s just me or something with my setup, but the recent updates seem to keep breaking things. Every time I install one, something that was working fine before starts acting up...

"Support took forever"
I messaged support about a billing issue. Waited almost two days. Nothing helpful back. Frustrating, honestly. I needed it fixed fast, not a vague reply way later. After paying for the software, I expected better support...

"Pretty good deal overall"
The subscription’s been worth it for me, even though I don’t use every single tool. When projects get busy, the price feels fair for what I get out of it.

"Had to keep chasing them for a fix"
I’ve been waiting way too long for a bug fix, and I’ve had to keep chasing them about it. Support does reply, but it’s usually just something like “it’s been logged” or “it’s coming soon,” with no real update. In the meantime, the plugin keeps causing issues with my work and I’m stuck using annoying workarounds. For something I’m paying for, I expected fixes to happen a lot faster. Frustrating experience overall

"The license manager keeps acting up on me..."
The license manager keeps acting up on me and it’s just super annoying. Feels like every time I need it to work, there’s some random issue or it doesn’t recognize things right. Kinda frustrating tbh.

"Too expensive for what you get"
I really wanted to like Astute Graphics, and some of the tools are useful (when you actually need them). But the price just feels hard to justify, especially since it’s a yearly subscription for plugins I’d only use here and there.
I can see how it might make sense for a bigger studio that uses Illustrator all day, but for freelancers or casual users it feels like a lot. I wish they offered cheaper plans or let you buy individual tools separately (that would make way more sense for me).
"I picked up the Astute Graphics plugins..."
I picked up the Astute Graphics plugins thinking they’d make Illustrator smoother and save me some effort, but it’s been the opposite. I feel like I’ve spent more energy babysitting the tools than actually using them.
Some days everything seems fine, then after an update a tool starts acting strange, panels vanish, Illustrator takes forever to load, or it just crashes while I’m working with vectors. Maybe there’s something about my setup, but I use other plugins too and they don’t give me this kind of headache.
For what they cost, I expected something a lot more dependable. Instead I keep having to restart Illustrator, troubleshoot random issues, and waste time I really don’t have. At this point, it just doesn’t feel worth it for me.

"Canceling was easy, but the refund wasn’t"
so canceling was straightforward, but I’m still waiting for the refund to get sorted out. It’s a bit annoying.
